Sai Pallavi First Movies Kasthuri Maan

Kasthuri Maan is a 2005 Tamil film directed by A.K. Lohithadas, a Malayalam filmmaker. The film, which is a remake of the director's own Malayalam film of the same name and his only Tamil film to date, stars Prasanna and Meera Jasmine, who reprised her role from the original. The cast includes Shammi Thilakan, Sarath Babu, V. M. C. Haneefa, Bharathi Kannan, Pawan, Vinodini, and Suja. Kasthuri Maan is a film about a young college girl who, despite her own difficulties, helps her sweetheart realize his ambition of becoming an IAS official. During Diwali 2005, the film was released to largely good reviews.

Movie Story

Arun Kumar (Prasanna) is now a district collector as the film begins. His father Palaniappan (Sarath Babu) wants him to marry, and the story is told in flashback.Palaniappan was once a wealthy film producer who borrowed money from a wealthy person but was unable to repay the loan. The wealthy man wishes for his daughter to marry Arun, but the latter refuses.

Arun and Umashankari (Meera Jasmine) both attend the same university.

 Uma is a vivacious, cheeky girl on campus, but she lives in extreme poverty at home and works odd jobs to help support her family and avoid her sister's husband, who makes attempts toward her. Palaniappan, who is badly in debt, attempts suicide in the meantime. Uma intervenes to assist Arun, who is studying for the I.A.S. exams. She goes to great lengths to make sure he becomes an I.A.S. officer. He, for his part, vows to marry her and save her from her predicament. However, Uma ends up in prison following an unfortunate incident with her brother-in-law, and the couple is reunited in the finale.
